The North African Food Sovereignty Network is organizing its 2nd General Assembly in Tunis

Press release:

The North African Food Sovereignty Network is organizing its 2nd General Assembly on December 18 and 19, 2021 at the hotel “Les Ambassadeurs” in Tunis under the slogan: “Coordination and network of regional struggles for food sovereignty”.

Delegations from several countries of North Africa, the Middle East and Africa participate in the general assembly of the Siyada Network, namely: Morocco, Mauritania, Algeria, Sudan, Egypt, Palestine, Lebanon, Tunisia and Uganda.

Given the health circumstances due to the pandemic, the participation of the delegations in the public conference and the general assembly will be face-to-face and online.

Note that the general assembly of the North African Food Sovereignty Network is the supreme decision-making body of the Network where the discussion of the political charter, the election of the new secretariat of the Network at the regional level and the authentication of membership of new associations happen.

The General Assembly will determine the work strategy for the next three years and the establishment of the Network in grassroots circles of food sovereignty in our region.

The program contains the proceedings of the general assembly in private on the 1st day and a day of public field study on the 2nd day in Tongar Mannouba.
